Derby County beat Cardiff City 3-0 in the Championship as they move on to the fifth round of the FA Cup. Here is how it went for all those at Pride Park. n

The “derby county fixtures” is a news website that provides up-to-date information about the football club. It has been around since 1884 and is one of the most popular sports websites in the UK.

Tom Lawrence’s brace brought his season total to four goals.

Derby fought back to overcome promotion-chasing Bournemouth and conclude a tumultuous week in style thanks to captain Tom Lawrence’s second-half double.

Club at the bottom Following a nine-point deduction, Derby started off 18 points from safety, but went ahead when Jason Knight was left unmarked on the outside of the six-yard box and headed in Max Bird’s corner.

Despite Curtis Davies’ superb goalline stop from his original attempt, Jaidon Anthony equalized, then Jefferson Lerma slipped a ball through for Dominic Solanke to put the Cherries ahead.

After Jack Stacey took down Graeme Shinnie, Lawrence curled a superb equalize into the far corner and then slammed home a penalty for the Rams winner.

Derby’s first victory in eight league games returned them to zero points after a punishing week off the field resulted in their second two-month suspension. For the first time since 1986, they face an uphill battle to escape third-tier football.

Knight’s early goal verified Wayne Rooney’s prediction that Derby had plenty of fight still in them, but it was also aided by some uncharacteristically sloppy defense from a Bournemouth team who had only surrendered one goal in their previous eight league away games this season.

After a defensive slapstick moment in which goalkeeper Kelle Roos threw the ball away in his own area, Scott Parker’s side were gifted an equaliser. But their second goal, just before halftime, concluded an excellent team effort and enabled Solanke to match his best-ever goal-scoring season, which he had in November, with his 15th of the season.

Before the halftime, Lerma could have added a third, but he headed wide from eight yards, and they paid the price when Lawrence scored twice in seven minutes. However, the 69th-minute second was marred by controversy, as an apparent offside in the build-up to the penalty went missed.

As Bournemouth drove for an equalizer, Philip Billing headed a fine opportunity wide, but they were defeated for the second time in three games after going 15 games undefeated. The Cherries are still in second position in the standings, a point behind Fulham but eight points clear of third-placed West Bromwich Albion.

Derby are 15 points from safety and 11 points below second-bottom Barnsley after their fourth victory of the season.

Wayne Rooney, the manager of Derby County, told Radio Derby:

“I think the boys did a fantastic job today.” We knew it was going to be a difficult game.

“Bournemouth won the league, indicating that they are a highly good squad.”

“The guys shown today, once again, amazing character and what it means to play for this club. They put up a show to be proud of.”

Scott Parker, the manager of Bournemouth, told Radio Solent:

“I felt we had a bad day all around today.” I felt we were terrible while we weren’t in possession, and even more so when we were in possession. We didn’t show up today, and we didn’t have adequate ball control, which converted the game into a basketball contest.

“They took the lead and we responded correctly, 2-1, and the crowd was booing us, but we created that environment mostly because of the manner we played, in which we didn’t control the ball.”

“We made the game hectic and made it precisely as they needed it at the time, giving them a chance and without really stamping our authority.”

“These days do happen, but we need to learn from them, understand them, and grow better at dealing with them.”
